The 2022-23 SCOPE team collaborated with Giner Labs to improve the weight and volume of their proprietary electrolyzer oxygen generation system to lower costs and take up less valuable cargo room while maintaining a high degree of safety and reliability. 

Our SCOPE team aimed to provide a streamlined, efficient data collection method and analysis process to inform decisions of street lighting and pedestrian-vehicle safety teams for 2-3 municipalities in Massachusetts and beyond.

The 2022-23 Dassault SCOPE team researched user journeys and created prototypes to reduce the complexity and provide a more seamless onboarding and discoverability experience for current and future customers of 3DEXPERIENCE Works. 

LineVision challenged the Olin SCOPE team to investigate the performance capabilities of our next-generation edge infrastructure through the development of a proof-of-concept system for real-time monitoring of the transmission-line right-of-way.

This team will be exploring opportunities to automatically identify the presence of pedestrians and activate safety measures to improve pedestrian safety.

The BU WISE SCOPE team worked with generative AI models to create a web-app that will act as a “literacy buddy" for students and a teaching assistant for teachers.

Avalanche Energy is working on new electrostatic confinement technology to make a bench top nuclear fusion generator. Our project was to investigate the feasibility of compact high voltage power supplies that can operate in the range of hundreds of kilovolts and interface with their preexisting system.

The 2022-23 FCAT SCOPE team developed Coin-Test, a publicly available, open-source Python library that provides a novel approach to evaluating cryptocurrency trading strategies.

A semi-automatic robotic spray-coating machine for simplifying and accelerating Blue Origin’s current in-house PCB rework process.

Our project will review the manual complexity and risk assessment work in GCS, and recommend an automation framework by conducting data analysis and machine learning along with implementing a proof of concept using the framework. This will enable timely response to changes and aid in efficiently allocating GCS resources.

This year’s SCOPE team worked to create an AI-driven tool that identified opportunities to accelerate the delivery of life-changing treatments and enable data-informed rapid decision making, while limiting clinical supply process risks.

The 2022-23 Bose SCOPE team worked with Bose to infuse sustainability and product circularity across its global business operations.

The 2022-23 Brandeis SCOPE team overhauled the original Roshbash Lab FlyBox's hardware, assembly, and software, creating a robust and polished tool to track the behavior of genetically modified fruit flies over multiday periods.

In this project, our team will be working closely with Blue Origin to understand the standards and difficulties of PCB rework and designing a workstation to aid in this process. This station will be self-contained and easily accessible by the avionics team, reducing lead times wherever possible. Major challenges include understanding and designing around worker ergonomics and mitigating environmental hazards.
