EXPERIENCE OLIN FIRST-HAND
We host a variety of on-campus events for prospective students throughout the year. If you have questions about visiting, please contact our office at 781-292-2222 or email@example.com.
To get the most out of your visit to Olin, we recommend registering for a scheduled Information Session and Campus Tour. An admission counselor will be available to answer your questions, and you will have a student tour guide to show you around the campus and tell you about life as an Olin student.
Information Sessions and Tours are offered daily Monday-Friday from mid-March through late November, as well as on select Saturdays in the fall. Information sessions are one hour long, and are immediately followed by a one-hour tour whenever student tour guides are available.* The total visit time is about two hours.
*On days when tour guides are not available, visitors will be welcome to participate in our Self-Guided Campus Tour. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like a PDF copy of the Self-Guided Tour booklet in advance.
We are happy to have larger groups of students visit our campus together. If you would like to arrange a visit for more than 10 people, please contact Stephanie Hill in the Office of Admission and Financial Aid at email@example.com or 781-292-2209.
Olin Open Houses are day-long events that provide prospective students and their families with the opportunity to visit campus and hear from students, faculty, staff and alumni about what it's like to be part of the Olin community. We host two Open Houses each fall: Women's Open House, and Fall Open House.
Sunday, September 30, 2018
We welcome students of all gender identities to attend our annual Women's Open House to learn more about our inclusive community and the importance of diverse perspectives in engineering. Come meet our community members and learn more about Olin's unique curriculum and culture!
Saturday, November 10, 2018
At our annual Fall Open House, visitors have the opportunity to meet current students, staff, and faculty, to hear more about Olin's unique, project-based curriculum and to learn about the wide variety of activities and organizations available at Olin.
Prospective students are welcome to sign up for an Overnight Visit or Day Visit through our student-run visit program. Student-hosted visits are available during the academic year to provide prospective students with an inside glimpse of what it's like to be an Olin student. You'll be matched with a student host, attend classes, eat in the dining hall, and sleep in the residence halls.
*Please note that due to the limited availability of Olin student hosts, Day and Overnight visits are limited to high school seniors and students who for other reasons are applying to enter college this coming fall.
High school seniors and other students who are planning to apply to Olin College this year are welcome to request an Alumni Interview during the fall semester! These interviews are both evaluative and informative, providing an opportunity for you to learn more about Olin from an alumnus/a. Additionally, when members of our Admission staff travel during the fall semester, they typically offer opportunities for students to meet for one-on-one interviews in their area.
Please note that the Olin Admission staff does not conduct interviews with prospective students on the Olin campus prior to application. If you are interested in visiting our campus to learn more about Olin, we encourage you to register for an Information Session and Campus Tour!
