Ralph S. Sheridan
Ralph Sheridan is Managing Partner for Value Management LLC, a technology investment and advisory firm in software, security and sensors. In addition, the firm advises on technology startups and turnarounds. Mr. Sheridan is a frequent spokesman on technology solutions to complex security problems with particular emphasis on cargo crime and cross border trade, detection of nuclear materials and cyber threats to process control systems and SCADA. Mr. Sheridan has served as CEO of Good Harbor Partners, an OTC security technology investment firm; American Science & Engineering, a NASDAQ listed company that provides X-ray detection equipment and contract technology development for the detection of explosives, drugs, weapons, illegal immigrants, and manifest verification for cargo; and HEC Energy Corp., an energy services company. Earlier in his career he served in Operations, Business Development and Strategy positions for Combustion Engineering, Inc., an engineering services and systems company; Continental Group, a diversified packaging, financial services and gas pipeline company; and W.R. Grace, a diversified energy, materials and specialty chemicals. Mr. Sheridan received a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.B.A. from Ohio State University and did postgraduate work at the New York University Stern School of Business.
Mr. Sheridan is a member of CommonAngels – a technology investment group and Boston Clean Tech Angels.
In addition, he is a member of the Board of Overseers at the Museum of Science, the Board for World Presidents’ Organization, and a member of the Board of the Boston Minuteman Council of the Boy Scouts. He also serves on the President’s Council at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering.
