Eileen Shapiro is President of the Hillcrest Group Inc. where she now works primarily with early-stage companies. She is also an inventor, with 14 issued US patents and several pending patent applications, and an author of business books, including How Corporate Truths Become Corporate Traps; Fad Surfing in the Board Room (with The Fad Surfer’s Dictionary); and Make Your Own Luck (with Howard Stevenson).
Eileen has had a long career as a business consultant, first with McKinsey & Company and then Hillcrest Group Inc., where she has worked with a range of companies (including British Petroleum; BHP/steel division; General Electric; Johnson & Johnson; Standard & Poor’s) and nonprofits (including National Public Radio; National Center on Education and the Economy; Boston Symphony Orchestra; Harvard Medical School and its affiliated hospital systems).
Eileen is also a believer in miracles, and is therefore an avid Red Sox fan.
Eileen holds an A.B. from Brown University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
